National Health Care 20/20

National Health Care: There is much to say, and until it becomes more clear what is in the current plan we should not speculate. At the same time neither should our elected officials. If anything about National Health Care is clear is that it is a massive endeavor, and the latest news releases indicate the Bill has not been fully read, or fully debated. A vote at this time to pass this Bill is not responsible, and our elected official need to know how we feel. Any official voting on passing a Bill that has not been researched, debated, or read should be voted out of office the next election.

The answer:

I agree that the Country’s awareness has been awakened for health care for those that can not afford the cost. However, the answer is not, and never has been a Government ran health care program. The effort of the Obama administration appears genuine in wanting to help, but the voices of grass root Americans rejected the idea of anything Government ran.

The number of uninsured that I have heard is around 47 million. Then I have heard from some well informed that the 47 million number includes illegals, those that have the money but choose not to have coverage, self-insured, and the number may be closer to 12 million. Either number 47 or 12 is still a large number.

The solution?

Why is there not any consideration to a third party in the private sector with some support of the Government. Support from the Government would be in identifying those that need health insurance, or basic health care, but because of circumstances do not have the money. But the third party providing financial help would not need a nickel of tax money. They would be funded by the private sector and be ran accordingly.

Let me suggest we use 20 million as an example of those in need. Identified by filing out a simple form showing their citizenship, tax records, and a brief financial statement.

Where does the money come from??? The private sector. How??

Jerry Lewis, over a Labor Day Holiday, raised $65 million, and there are many other example of how the private sector can come together to fund a need. It is the American Way.
